The Top Choices All Offer Winter Camping, Including Yurt Rentals.

South Beach State Park

Located two miles south of Newport, South Beach State Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including fishing, crabbing, boating, and beachcombing. Camping is available on a year-round basis, and facilities include 54 sites and 22 yurts. Attractions nearby include the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, marine life exhibits at the Hatfield Marine Science Center, and the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

Jessie M. Honeyman State Park

Situated three miles south of Florence on scenic Highway 101, Jessie M. Honeyman State Park is the second largest overnight camp in the state. Campsites include 50 full hookup, 91 electrical, 237 tent, and 10 yurts. Park features two freshwater lakes and offers direct campground access to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area from October 1 through April 30.

Bullards Beach State Park

Located two miles north of Bandon, Bullards Beach State Park features 4.5 miles of open beach, as well as views of the Coquille River and the Bandon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge. A paved bike path winds through open grassy fields and lowland forest across a plain to the sandy dunes. The historic Coquille River Lighthouse (staffed May-October) is located at the end of the beach access road. Year-round camping is available, and park offers 13 yurts for rental. Across the river is Bandon by the Sea, which includes a variety of shops, galleries, and restaurants in the town that is referred to as "The Cranberry Capital of the World."
