Coast redwood

The Coast Redwoods are the tallest known trees on earth. They reach heights over 370 feet and live up to 2,200 years. While they were widespread during the Cretaceous and Tertiary periods, today they occupy a narrow strip of land along the west coast of the United States, from southern Oregon to northern California, about 450 miles long and 5-47 miles wide along the Pacific Coast.
