Visitors approach the Baker Island Lighthouse

Acadia National Park and the surrounding area are full of scenic and historic destinations. The Baker Island Lighthouse (pictured above) was built in 1828, rebuilt in 1855 and automated in 1966. Located at the southwest entrance to Frenchman Bay, the lighthouse stands 105 feet above sea level.
