Cheaha State Park (Delta, AL) is situated atop Cheaha Mountain, the highest point in the State, at 2,407 feet above sea level. It offers outstanding scenery year-round, and offers great opportunities for hiking, boating, and fishing. Accommodations include the Bald Rock Group Lodge, the Resort Lodge, 15 chalet and stone cabins, and 73 campsites.

Gulf State Park (Gulf Shores, AL) spans 6,150 acres with 2.5 miles of sugar white sand beaches. It features a 144-room beachfront resort hotel with a restaurant, lounge, and 18-hole golf course. Park also features three freshwater lakes close to the beach, permitting anglers to fish both salt and fresh water.

Lake Guntersville State Park (Guntersville, AL) overlooks the 66,470-acre Guntersville Reservoir and includes 5,909 acres of ridge tops and meadows. The park's resort lodge, restaurant and convention complex is located on Little Mountain, providing a magnificent view of the reservoir. The Lake offers outstanding fishing as well as swimming and other water sports activities. The park is a wintering home of the American Bald Eagle. The Eagle Awareness Program, held every January, offers park visitors the opportunity to watch these birds soar high above the lake in search of food. It has evolved into one of Alabama's most notable and popular wildlife events.
