| The ferruginous hawk (pictured above) can be found in the open habitats of western North America, with a breeding range that extends from Central Canada south through the Great Plains and Rocky Mountains to northern Arizona and New Mexico. During the winter months, they are most commonly seen in the southwestern United States. |
