Everglades National Park

Our national symbol and the only eagle unique to North America, the American bald eagle ranges over most of the continent, from northern Alaska and Canada down to Florida's Everglades. First declared endangered in 1967, it's recovery and removal from the endangered species list in 1999 are in large part a testament to the success of the Endangered Species Act.
