Description: Situated where the Caledonia Highlands meet the Bay of Fundy, park encompasses some of the last remaining wilderness in southern New Brunswick. The tidal fluctuation of the Bay of Fundy can be as much as 12 meters, the highest in the world. Because of its location along the Atlantic migration flyway, park is often the site of spectacular bird migrations in the spring and fall, and 255 species have been sighted in the park.

Activities: Hiking is one of the most popular activities in the park, which features more than 100 km of trails. Serious hikers can partake of the Fundy Circuit, a 45-km network of seven linked hiking trails that crosses river valleys, past lakes, along the coastline and through forests. The route, which takes 3-5 days to complete, offers two wilderness campsites (preregistration required) and two campgrounds. Other park activities include birdwatching, canoeing, kayaking, rowboating, golfing (9-hole course), swimming, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, ice skating, and snowshoeing

Places to Stay: Fundy National Park includes four family campgrounds and 13 backcountry campsites. The park uses the National Parks Canada Campground Reservation Service and campground reservations can be made online or by calling  1-877-737-3783. Campsites are also still available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The nearby cities of Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint John offers visitors a full range of accommodations. For additional information, contact the New Brunswick Tourism Office online or by calling 1-800-561-0123.
