Size: 83 acres

Location: Sagamore Hill National Historic Site is located at the end of Cove Neck Rd. in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York. 

Description: This estate was the home of Theodore Roosevelt from 1886 until his death in 1919 and was used as the "Summer White House" from 1901 until 1908. Twenty-three rooms of the house, most containing original furnishings, are open to the public. The Georgian-styled Old Orchard Museum is located on the grounds.

Activities: Visitors can tour the home, explore the Theodore Roosevelt Museum at Old Orchard, walk the grounds, and hike the nature trail that goes down to the beach used by the Roosevelts. During the summer months, park rangers lead nature walks on Sunday mornings.

Operating Hours
: The site is open daily through Labor Day. The Theodore Roosevelt home and the Old Orchard Museum are open from 10am until 4pm. The park grounds are open daily from dawn until dusk.

History: Authorized on July 25, 1962.
