Location: Roosevelt Campobello International Park is located on the southern end of Campobello Island in New Brunswick, Canada. It is connected by the FDR International Bridge to Lubec on the easternmost tip of the state of Maine. Lubec is reached by ME 189 from US 1. During the summer, access to Campobello is also available by car ferry from Deer Island, New Brunswick.

Description: Park is a joint memorial by Canada and the United States and a symbol of the close relationship between the two countries. Here are the cottage and the grounds where President Franklin D. Roosevelt vacationed, the waters where he sailed, and the woods, bogs, and beaches where he tramped and relaxed. He was stricken by poliomyelitis here in his summer home at the age of 39.

Activities: Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the Roosevelt Cottage, short hikes, touring the gardens, picnicking, and viewing the ocean vistas.

Operating Hours: The park is open daily, from Saturday following Victoria Day (the Saturday prior to U.S. Memorial Day), and remains open through Canadian Thanksgiving (U.S. Columbus Day).

History: The Roosevelt Campobello International Park was established under an agreement signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson and Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson on January 22, 1964. It was officially opened on August 20, 1964. It is owned and administered by a United States-Canadian commission.
