Size: 360 acres.
Location: Navajo National Monument is located 50 miles northeast of Tuba City or 20 miles southwest of Kayenta, Arizona. Accessible via US 160, and then 9 miles on AR 564.
Description: Monument preserves Betatakin, Keet Seel, and Inscription House, three cliff dwellings of the Ancestral Puebloan People. The monument is surrounded by Navajo Nation land.

Operating Hours: The visitor center is open from 8:00am to 7:00pm, seven days a week.
History: Proclaimed on March 20, 1909. Headquarters is on 245 acres of tribal land adjacent to the Betatakin section; used by agreement of May, 1962. A right-of-way of 4.6 acres was granted to the National Park Service in 1977.
