Size: 800 acres.
Location: Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site is located on US 9 in Hyde Park, 8 miles north of the city of Poughkeepsie, New York.
Description: "Springwood" was the birthplace, lifetime residence, and "Summer White House" of the 32nd President. He entertained many distinguished visitors here. The gravesites of President and Mrs. Roosevelt are in the Rose Garden.

Operating
Hours: The park is open year-round, seven days a week. Closed Thanksgiving,
Christmas, and New Years Day holidays. Buildings are open 9:00am to 5:00pm; grounds
are open 7:00am to sunset. Visitation is highest in October, July, and August;
lowest in January and February. Guided Tours of the FDR Home are often
"sold out" early in the afternoon during peak season and on holiday
weekends. Fall foliage season in October is especially busy. Plan to arrive
early in the day during those times.
