Size: 229 acres. 

Location: Guilford Courthouse National Military Park is located in northwest Greensboro, off Battleground Ave. (US 220). 

Description: The battle fought here on March 15, 1781, was the largest, most hotly-contested action of the Revolutionary War's climactic Southern Campaign and opened the campaign that led to Yorktown and the end of the Revolution. Twenty-eight monuments honoring Revolutionary heroes and heroines dot the battlefield.

Activities: Park includes walking foot trails and historic New Garden Road park and biking automobile tour road. A self-guiding tour follows the auto/bicycle tour road. Special ranger-conducted group programs can be arranged by contacting park. The annual anniversary of the battle is observed on March 15. Special living history programs are scheduled on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and at other times during the year. Contact the park for specific dates and times and information about other special programs.

Operating Hours: The Park is open daily, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Closed on New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
