Size: 0.75 acre

Location: Near the intersection of Riverside Dr. and West 122nd St. in New York City.

Description: This memorial to Ulysses S. Grant, the Union commander who brought the Civil War to an end, includes the tombs of General and Mrs. Grant. As the President of the United States (1869-1877), Grant signed the act establishing the first national park, Yellowstone, on March 1, 1872.

Activities: Ranger guided programs and tours are offered throughout the day. Costumed interpreters describe Grant's role during the Civil War and his Presidency. Exhibits depict the life and accomplishments of General and President Ulysses S. Grant.

Operating Hours: Open year round 9:00am-5:00pm except January 1, Thanksgiving Day and December 25.

History
: Dedicated on April 27, 1897. National Park Service administration authorized on August 14, 1958.
