Location: George Rogers Clark National Historical Park is located between South 2nd St. and the Wabash River in Vincennes, Indiana. 

Description: This classic memorial building, located near the site of old Fort Sackville, commemorates the capture of the fort from the British by Lieutenant Colonel George Rogers Clark, February 25, 1779, and the subsequent settlement of the region north of the Ohio River. The statue was sculpted by Hermon MacNeil.

Activities: Visitors can enjoy a 30-minute movie on Clark's western campaign (offered every 1/2 hour) as well as costumed living history programs (on an irregular basis).

Operating Hours: The park visitor center is open daily from 9am until 5pm. The Memorial is open from 9am until 4:45 pm. The park is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.

History: Authorized on July 23, 1966.
