Size: 675 acres
Location: Friendship Hill National Historic Site is located in southwestern Pennsylvania, 12 miles from Uniontown and 10 miles from Morgantown, West Virginia.
Description: This stone and brick home on the Monongahela River near Point Marion, Pennsylvania, belonged to Albert Gallatin, Secretary of the Treasury, 1801-1813, under Presidents Jefferson and Madison.
Activities: Set aside from one to three hours to visit and enjoy the historic house, exhibits, audio tour, nature trails and any special programs. A self-guided audio house tour and "Reflections of Gallatin" presentation are offered throughout the year. During the summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day) ranger lead house tours are offered daily with concerts, special programs and lectures on weekends. For up-to-date information call (724) 725-9190. A picnic area and comfort station are adjacent to the main parking area. Park includes 10 miles of nature trails.Operating Hours: Park is open daily, from sunrise to sunset, all year, though the historic Gallatin House offers a more limited schedule.
