Location: 6 miles north of Charleston off US 17. 

Description
:
Charles Pinckney (1757-1824) fought in the Revolutionary War and became one of the principal framers of the Constitution. He served as Governor of South Carolina, a member of both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, and was President Thomas Jefferson's minister to Spain. His estate, known as Snee Farm, is one of the only 8 actual primary dwellings left that can be directly associated with a signer of the Constitution. Park preserves 28 acres of the 715-acre estate.

Activities: The visitor center is self-guiding with park staff available for interpretive services. Educational programs tailored for students and adults are offered throughout the year. Advance reservations are required. Twenty-eight acres of a 715 acre plantation called Snee Farm are preserved in the park. In its open spaces are exhibits describing the existing house, archeological excavations, agricultural history and how neighboring water and wetlands contributed to the plantation.

Operating Hours: Open Daily, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

History: Authorized on September 8, 1988.
