Size: 43 acres
Location: Boston National Historical Park is located in downtown Boston. Seven of the eight privately, municipally and federally owned and managed historic sites that comprise the historical park are connected by the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile walking tour of 16 sites and structures of historic importance in downtown Boston and Charlestown.
Description: The events and ideas associated with the American Revolution and the founding and growth of the United States provide the common thread linking the sites that comprise this park: Bunker Hill, Dorchester Heights, Old North Church, Paul Revere House, Faneuil Hall, Old State House, Old South Meeting House, and a portion of the Charlestown Navy Yard, including the USS Cassin Young, the USS Constitution, and the USS Constitution Museum.

Operating Hours: Visitor centers and sites at Boston National Historical Park are open year-round. Downtown visitor center (15 State Street), open daily, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Charlestown Navy Yard visitor center open daily, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Most historic sites are open 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. peak season and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. off season. USS Constitution is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the summer and Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the winter. All park sites (except USS Constitution) and both visitor centers are closed Thanksgiving, December 25, and January 1.
