1919
By a vote of 56-25, the US Senate passes the Susan Anthony amendment to the Constitution (the Women's Suffrage bill), granting women the right to vote. The Nineteenth Amendment, having already been passed by the House by a 304-89 vote, would go to the states for ratification and become law on August 26th, 1920.

Today the National Park Service maintains a number of sites that commemorate important people, places, and events in women's history.
