1933
President Franklin Roosevelt gives the first of his nation-wide "fireside chats" on radio. The National Park Service maintain three parks to honor the 32nd President of the United States: 

The Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial is the fourth monument to an American president on the National Mall in Washington, DC. It includes outdoor rooms with granite walls, and an artistic narrative of history from 1933-1945.

The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site
includes "Springwood" the birthplace, lifetime residence, and "Summer White House" of FDR.

The Roosevelt Campobello International Park preserves Roosevelt's summer home in New Brunswick, Canada. It was here that he was stricken by poliomyelitis at the age of 39.
