Fagatele Bay National Marine Sanctuary
The smallest and most remote of all the NMS's, it encompasses 0.25-sq. miles of protected area, southwest shore of Tutuila Island, American Samoa, 14 degrees south of the equator.

The World Wildlife Fund provides information on the Robert Louis Stevenson Memorial Reserve/Mount Vaea Reserve, the Falealupo Reserve, and O Le Pupu Pu’e National Park.

Rose Atoll National Wildlife Refuge
The southernmost refuge in the National Wildlife Refuge System consists of two small islets, about 15 acres in total size, and 39,236 acres of submerged land. It is home to 12 species of migratory seabirds, and provides nesting ground for the threatened green sea turtle.
