Camping:

Saguaro National Park does not offer drive-in camping facilities in either district. Camping is available, however, in nearby county and state parks and in the Coronado National Forest. Visit the web sites listed below for further information:

Backcountry camping is permitted on a year-round basis in the Saguaro Wilderness Area (59,930 acres) located in the Rincon Mountain District of Saguaro National Park. Overnight camping requires a free permit, which can be obtained through the mail or in person at the park visitor center. There are six wilderness campgrounds, which are only accessible by foot or horse. All of these campgrounds are a minimum of six miles from the nearest trailhead. Water is available seasonally in the wilderness area. Check with the visitor center for a current water report.

No camping is available within the Tucson Mountain District of Saguaro National Park.
