Mammoth Cave National Park

History:

Mammoth Cave was established as a national park on July 1, 1941. It was recognized by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Heritage Site on October 27, 1981, and was designated as an International Biosphere Reserve on September 26, 1990.
