Tree National Park
Educational Opportunities:
Joshua Tree National Park offers an education/outreach program to students, teachers and park visitors. Most in-class programs are 45 minutes long. Programs given in the park last from one and one-half to four hours. There is no charge for education programs, but reservations are required.
The Desert Institute at Joshua Tree National Park, the educational branch of the non-profit Joshua Tree National Park Association, offers outdoor classes in science, history and the arts in Joshua Tree National Park and the adjacent Mojave Desert.
The park also maintains a web page entitled By Kids, For Kids in which students share what they learn from in-class activities conducted by park rangers and from field trips to Joshua Tree National Park.
