Lodging:
National Park Concessions, Inc. operates facilities and services at Rock Harbor and Windigo on Isle Royale. For those island visitors who want the experience of the wilderness and Lake Superior, but are not prepared or able to camp, the Rock Harbor Lodge offers both motel style accommodations (with the American Plan for dining) and self-contained housekeeping cabins. A full-service dining room and snack bar offers service to all park visitors. Handicap accessible facilities are available. The lodge also operates a marina with fuel sales, docks with hook-ups for vessels up to 65' in length, pumpout service, and a grocery store. Showers and a laundry facility are located near the marina store.
The Windigo Store offers basic camping supplies, groceries, and fishing licenses. The marina offers gasoline, pumpout service, and boat, motor, and canoe rentals. Showers and a coin laundry are located at the store.
