Isle Royale National Park Travel Planner

General Park Information

Situated in the northwest corner of Lake Superior, Isle Royale National Park is a wilderness archipelago, 45 miles long and 9 miles wide at its widest point. It encompasses a total area of 850 square miles including submerged lands which extends four and a half miles out into Lake Superior. The park is open from April 16 to October 31.
