Conecuh National Forest
Located in southern Alabama on the Florida border, the 84,000-acre forest offers opportunities for camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, swimming, and boating. 

DeSoto National Forest
The largest national forest in Mississippi at 501,000 acres features gently rolling terrain with stands of longleaf, slash and loblolly pine. Popular activities include floating the winding streams in canoe, raft, or jon-boat. 

Blackwater River State Forest
Situated just northeast of Pensacola, FL, the forest features a number of meandering streams that offer good opportunities for canoeing. 

Pensacola Scenic Bluffs Highway (FL)
Exemplifies a historic, natural, recreational and scenic trip through an area of Pensacola and Escambia County. Provides scenic vistas of Escambia Bay and represents the highest point along the entire coastline of Florida. 

Hospitality Highway (MS)
This 22-mile scenic byway (US 90) from Biloxi to Bay Saint Louis offers an unspoiled view of the Gulf and takes visitors along picturesque harbors and historic homes.
