Capitol Reef National Park

Camping:

The 71-site Fruita Campground is the only developed campground in the park, offering picnic tables, restrooms, water, and a dump station. It is open year-round for tents and recreational vehicles on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cathedral Valley Campground and Cedar Mesa Campground are both primitive campgrounds, open year round on a first-come, first-served basis. Each offers pit toilets, picnic tables, and fire grates; there is no water. Situated at 7000 feet, the six-site Cathedral Campground is located 36 miles from the Visitor Center, on the Cathedral Valley loop road which traverses Capitol Reef's Cathedral District. The five-site Cedar Mesa Campground is located 35 miles south of the Visitor Center on the Notom-Bullfrog Road.
