Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge
The twenty mile section of coastline from Melbourne Beach to Wabasso Beach in Florida is the most important nesting area for loggerhead sea turtles in the western hemisphere.

Enchanted Forest Sanctuary
The 393-acre sanctuary encompasses one of the last remaining large tracts of coastal hardwood forest in east central Florida.

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge
Situated adjacent to the Kennedy Space Center and the Canaveral National Seashore, it is home to more than 500 species of wildlife, including 15 that are listed as federally threatened or endangered. 

Ocala National Forest
The southernmost forest in the nation and the oldest forest east of the Mississippi, Ocala receives more visitors than any other forest in Florida. It features the Big Scrub, with the largest stand of sand pine trees in the world, and Juniper Springs, a semi-tropical environment not found in any other national forest in the continental U.S.
