Camping:

Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park includes two campgrounds, with all sites available on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservations). Camping is limited to 14 consecutive nights for a total of 30 nights during the calendar year.

The North Rim Campground, situated in a pinyon-juniper forest, is open from April to October. The 13-site campground includes pit toilets, tables, and grills, but no hook-ups. Water is available.

The South Rim Campground is open from April to October. The 88-site campground includes pit toilets, tables, and grills. The B loop has 30-amp electrical hook-ups available. Sites are usually accessible even on the busiest weekends. Although there are no group sites, groups can generally be accommodated at the South Rim Campground.

Additional campgrounds are available at Curecanti National Recreation Area, and Ridgeway Lake and Crawford Lake state recreation areas. Private campgrounds are located near Montrose, Delta, and Cimarron.
