Links the urban centers of Cleveland and Akron, preserving the rural character of the Cuyahoga River Valley.

Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park
Preserves area's aviation heritage associated with Wilbur and Orville Wright, and honors the life and work of poet Paul Laurence Dunbar, a friend of the Wrights.

First Ladies National Historic Site
This Canton, Ohio, park was established to preserve and interpret the role and history of First Ladies in American history. The site will consist of two properties: 331 Market Avenue South, the home of First Lady Ida Saxton McKinley, and 205 Market Avenue South, the City National Bank Building. Site will be managed through a cooperative agreement with the National First Ladies Library, a nonprofit corporation. In planning stages; no web site available.

Hopewell Culture National Historical Park
Preserves burial mounds, large earthworks, and finely crafted artifacts of the Hopewell Culture (200 B.C. to A.D. 500).

James A. Garfield National Historic Site
Preserves the property associated with the 20th President of the United States, who served from March 4, 1881, until his death on September 19, 1881.

Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial
Commodore Oliver H. Perry won the greatest naval battle of the War of 1812 on Lake Erie. Perry's Monument was constructed on South Bass Island, 1912-15.

William Howard Taft National Historic Site
The only person to serve as both President (1909-13) and Chief Justice of the United States (1921-30) was born and raised in this restored home.
