Appalachian National
Scenic Trail
This 2,158-mile footpath runs from Mount Katahdin in Maine to
Springer Mountain in Georgia, traversing 14 states. The 72-mile section in
New Jersey includes a rugged stretch along the Kittatinny Range as well as a
crossing of the Delaware River at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

River flows 41 miles through the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation
Area, affording opportunities for swimming, boating, and fishing.

29-room residence (Glenmont) were home to the inventor from
1887 until 1931.

Spanning portions of NY and NJ, nation's first urban park offers wide range
of recreational opportunities. It includes a wildlife refuge, historic forts
and airfields.
Great Egg Harbor
Scenic and Recreational River
Running through or along the Pine Barrens of southern NJ,
this river and its tributaries offer excellent opportunities
for canoeing.
Morristown National
Historical Park
Preserves site occupied by General George Washington and the
Continental Army during two critical winters -- January 1777
and 1779-80 -- of the Revolutionary War.
