Aulavik National Park
Features deeply cut river canyons, rugged desert-like badlands, and numerous archaeological sites. Thomsen River is ideal for wilderness rafting and canoeing.

Auyuittuq National Park
This rugged mountain tundra park features active glaciers, deep valleys, spectacular fjords, and many species of arctic mammals and birds.

Banff National Park
Canada's first national park features rugged mountains, glaciers, icefields, alpine meadows, lakes, mineral hot springs, deep canyons, and an abundance of wildlife.

Bruce Peninsula National Park
Protects a rugged limestone landscape and one of the largest remaining tracts of forest in Southern Ontario. Main attraction is the 20 km ribbon of Niagara Escarpment cliff.

Cape Breton Highlands National Park
Home to the famous Cabot Trail, the park features spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife, and a human history that stretches back to the last Ice Age.

Elk Island National Park
Preserves wildlife populations that includes elk, bison, moose, bear, beaver, coyote and Trumpeter swans.

Ellesmere Island (Quittinirpaaq) National Park
Protects the most remote, rugged, and northerly lands in North America that include high mountains, deeply cut plateaus, polar desert, and arctic tundra landscape.

Fathom Five National Marine Park
Canada's first national marine park protects 22 islands at the mouth of Georgian Bay

Forillon National Park
Located on the Gaspé Peninsula, it protects an area of the Notre- Dame and Mégantic mountain regions and elements of the Gulf of St. Lawrence marine region.

Fundy National Park
Includes coastal cliffs, tide-washed beaches, and the world's highest tides on the Bay of Fundy.

Georgian Bay Islands National Park
Park features 59 islands -- the barren glacier-scraped rock and windswept pines which inspired Canada's famous Group of Seven artists.

Glacier National Park
A mountainous wilderness named for its more than 400 permanent glaciers, it features rainforest and rugged mountain landscape and the Rogers Pass, a national historic site.

Grasslands National Park
First Canadian national park to preserve a portion of the mixed prairie grasslands. Sitting Bull took refuge here after the battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876.

Gros Morne National Park
Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, park offers a rich variety of scenery, wildlife, and recreational activities.

Gulf Islands National Park Reserve
Includes lands on 15 islands, as well as numerous small islets and reef areas in British Columbia's southern Gulf Islands.

Gwaii Haanas National Park
Archipelago's deep fjords and the rugged San Christoval mountains are typical of the Pacific Coast Mountains region. An estimated 750,000 seabirds nest in here.

Ivvavik National Park
Located in northern Yukon, park features include the Firth River, abundant wildlife, and significant archaeological and historical points of interest.

Jasper National Park
The largest and most northerly of the four Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks which comprise the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Park features more than 600 miles of trails.

Kejimkujik National Park
The only inland national park in the Maritimes (Nova Scotia) features abundant lakes and rivers ideal for canoeing.

Kluane National Park Reserve
Located in the southwest corner of the Yukon, it features Canada's highest peak, Mount Logan, and some of the most extensive icefields outside the polar region.

Kootenay National Park
Part of UNESCO's Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site, park is home to abundant wildlife, many species of birds, and beautiful wildflowers.

Kouchibouguac National Park
Acadian park features barrier islands and sand dunes that stretch for 15 miles, creating a haven for swimming and sunbathing.

La Mauricie National Park
Located in the mountainous area of the Saint-Maurice valley, park features soft-contoured hills, lakeland, rivers, waterfalls, sheer rock faces and breathtaking views.

Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve
Comprises a cluster of some 40 small limestone islands on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence.

Mount Revelstoke National Park
Its varied geographical zones range from dense old-growth rainforest to alpine meadows and tundra. Features a stand of 1,000-year-old red cedars.

Nahanni National Park Reserve
A renowned destination for canoeists and white-water enthusiasts, park was designated the first ever UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Pacific Rim National Park Reserve
This Pacific Coast marine and forest environment features sand beaches, an island archipelago, old-growth coastal temperate rainforest, and significant archaeological sites.

Point Pelee National Park
Located at the most southerly point on the Canadian mainland, park is known for its spring and fall migrations of birds and its autumn monarch butterfly migrations.

Prince Albert National Park
Protects a section of the northern coniferous forest, which hosts an abundance of wildlife, including the only fully protected white pelican nesting colony in Canada.

Prince Edward Island National Park
Features a varied landscape of sand dunes, red sandstone cliffs, and 25 miles of some of the finest salt-water beaches in Canada.

Pukaskwa National Park
The only wilderness national park in Ontario, it protects an ecosystem that features boreal forest and Lake Superior shoreline.

Quittinirpaaq (Ellesmere Island) National Park
Protects the most remote, rugged, and northerly lands in North America that include high mountains, deeply cut plateaus, polar desert, and arctic tundra landscape.

Riding Mountain National Park
Forming part of the Manitoba Escarpment, this "island" preserve protects a wide variety of wildlife and vegetation areas.

Saint Lawrence Islands National Park
Located in the heart of the 1000 Islands tourist area of Eastern Ontario, Canada's smallest national park includes all or parts of 21 islands, accessible only by boat.

Sirmilik National Park
Comprising three separate land areas, park features rugged mountains, icefields and glaciers, fjords, coastal lowlands and seabird colonies. Offers excellent opportunities for wilderness hiking and camping. 

Terra Nova National Park
Canada's easternmost national park protects remnants of the ancient Appalachian Mountains, and features varied terrain and remnants of cultural history.

Tuktut Nogait National Park
This remote national park protects the calving grounds of the Bluenose caribou herd and includes one of the highest densities of birds of prey in North America.

Ukkusiksalik National Park
Park surrounds Wager Bay, an inland sea that extends 100 km westward from Hudson Bay, which is home to a wide range of wildlife including caribou, muskox, wolf, polar bear, beluga, ringed and bearded seals. Inuit residents from nearby communities continue to travel to the area to hunt and fish.

Vuntut National Park
Covers a large portion of Old Crow Flats, which includes more than 2,000 shallow lakes, and is a vital staging and feeding area for more than a million migrant waterfowl.

Wapusk National Park
Includes one of the world's largest known polar bear denning areas and provides the habitat for waterfowl and shorebirds.

Waterton Lakes National Park
Park is home to Upper Waterton Lake, the deepest lake in the Canadian Rockies, as well as providing habitat for numerous wildlife.

Wood Buffalo National Park
Canada's largest national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site features unusual geography and the largest free-roaming bison herd in the world.

Yoho National Park
Situated just west of the Rockies, park features Takakkaw Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in Canada, and Burgess Shale, a site of fossil deposits of worldwide significance.
