Brown
County State Park

state park includes nearly 20 miles of roads, with numerous scenic vistas.
Comfortable accommodations at the rustic Abe Martin Lodge, large campgrounds,
hiking trails, interpretive services, and extensive horse riding facilities are
some of the things that make Brown County State Park popular year-round.
Falls
of the Ohio State Park
Located on the banks of the Ohio River, park includes 386-million-year-old
fossil beds that are among the largest exposed Devonian fossil beds in the
world. The park features a spectacular interpretive center overlooking the
fossil beds. Inside you will find a 14-minute movie and an exhibit gallery with
river and marine aquariums. Fishing, hiking, fossil viewing, bird watching, and
picnicking are among the most common activities. While fossil collecting is
prohibited, the park staff encourages visitors to explore and discover the many
different types of fossils that can be found on the ancient sea bottom.
