Lake Mead is Ready to Keep America Beautiful

March 6 marks an exciting event for Americans - Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup! Around 2.3 million volunteers are expected to participate in 15,000 communities nationwide.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area is offering a chance to be a part of it. Boulder Harbor will be the focus of this year's event from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Last year, 122 volunteers cleaned land at Government Wash by removed 500 bags of litter and 300-pounds of glass.
