Authorities are expanding their search efforts in Sequoia National Park to look for a hiker who's been missing for several days.

Wade Brunette, 73, of Hansville, Wash. was last seen on Sunday hiking alone along the trail to Mt. Whitney. The search effort began Tuesday, with around 100 rescue personnel, dog teams and four helicopter crews looking for Brunette. Rescue officials from Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, Yosemite National Park and eight California counties are involved in search efforts.

Anyone who was in the backcountry area around Whitney Portal, the Mount Whitney summit or areas in Sequoia National Park should call investigators at 559-565-3195 or 760-878-0383.
