Fought from July 1-3, 1863, the Battle of Gettysburg was one of the most crucial battles of the Civil War and its bloodiest battle. Of the more than 165,000 soldiers who fought with the Union and Confederacy, more than 51,000 were killed, wounded, or captured. Earlier this month the Gettysburg National Military Park unveiled a new $103 million Museum and Visitor Center.
